Who we are
Green Digest is published by GreenLabs Media L.L.C., a company registered in Kosovo (Bedri Shala B11 A25, Prishtine 10000, Kosovo).
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit greendigest.co, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. If you have a question about your information, email arditnaka@greendigest.co.
The short version
- We use your email address to send you the Green Digest newsletter, through our newsletter platform Beehiiv.
- If you contact us, your message comes to our business inbox so we can reply.
- Website analytics (Google Analytics) only runs if you click “Accept”. You can say no and the website works the same.
- We do not automatically copy form submissions into sales or advertising tools.
Newsletter
When you subscribe, we send your email address to Beehiiv, which manages our subscriber list and delivers the newsletter. We also tell Beehiiv that you signed up on our website. If you have accepted analytics, we include how you found us (for example, the campaign link or website that referred you). An email address is all you need to subscribe, and you can subscribe whether or not you accept analytics.
Beehiiv measures whether newsletter emails are opened and which links are clicked, using a small tracking image and tracked links. We use these reports to understand what readers find useful. The cookie choice on our website does not control tracking inside emails or on Beehiiv-hosted pages such as greendigest.beehiiv.com.
From time to time we take part in Beehiiv’s Ad Network, which places sponsored messages in newsletters and measures how they perform. Beehiiv also uses some subscriber and engagement information for its own purposes, including running its platform and Ad Network. Beehiiv is responsible for that processing, which is explained in Beehiiv’s Privacy Policy. We remain responsible for how we use Beehiiv to run our newsletter, as described in this policy.
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
Contact form
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, the type of enquiry and your message. Your company and a website address are optional. We use these details only to read and answer your enquiry.
Your message is delivered from our website by our email-sending provider, Resend, to our business inbox (arditnaka@greendigest.co), which is hosted by Namecheap Private Email. Please do not include sensitive information you don’t need to share.
Newsletter signups go only to Beehiiv, and contact messages go only to our inbox. Our website does not automatically send them to other tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly, spreadsheets or advertising platforms.
Running the website
Our website is hosted by Vercel. Like any website, our hosting and security systems process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site can load, stay secure and be fixed when something goes wrong. Our hosting provider and our monitoring service, Better Stack, keep short-lived technical logs for this purpose. These logs do not include the content of form messages.
Our newsletter editions and interviews are published through Beehiiv, and our event and webinar listings are managed in Sanity, a content management system. Some images in our articles are loaded from Beehiiv’s image servers, which receive the same kind of technical information when your browser loads them. Our fonts are served from our own website.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the website, for example which pages and articles are viewed, which links to events, webinars or other websites are clicked, how visitors found us, and whether a newsletter signup or contact form was sent successfully. Google Analytics only runs after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Reject”, or make no choice, it does not load.
We do not send names, email addresses or message contents to Google Analytics. Google’s advertising features and Google signals are turned off.
You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and the Google Analytics cookies and campaign information stored by our website are deleted from your browser. Information Google already received is not deleted automatically; you can ask us to help with that.
We ask for your choice again after 12 months, or sooner if we change how we use analytics.
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| gd_consent (browser storage) | Remembers your cookie choice | 12 months |
| _ga, _ga_XET5CNQ2NM (cookies) | Google Analytics, only after you accept | 12 months, deleted earlier if you withdraw consent |
| gd_attribution (browser storage) | Remembers how you found us (for example a campaign link), only after you accept | 90 days, deleted earlier if you withdraw consent |
In rare cases, our hosting provider’s security system may set a short-lived cookie to check that a visitor is not an automated bot. This is needed to protect the website and is not used for analytics.
Before this policy took effect, we used Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free service that records only aggregated visit statistics. We no longer use it on the website.
Why we use your information
- Newsletter: because you asked to subscribe. You can withdraw by unsubscribing at any time.
- Analytics: only with your consent, which you can withdraw in Cookie settings.
- Contact enquiries: to answer the message you sent us, and to take steps you ask for before working with us.
- Running and protecting the website: because we need to keep the website working and secure.
- Keeping business records: where the law requires it.
Who else handles your information
We use these service providers for the purposes described above: Vercel (website hosting), Better Stack (website monitoring), Sanity (editorial content), Beehiiv (newsletter), Resend (contact-form email delivery), Namecheap Private Email (our business inbox) and Google (website analytics, only with your consent).
Several of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Kosovo, including in the United States. That processing is subject to applicable data-protection requirements. If you would like more information about these providers, contact us.
How long we keep information
- Contact enquiries: messages and our replies stay in our business inbox. We plan to start reviewing stored enquiries in January 2027 and then every six months, deleting messages we no longer need unless we have to keep them, for example for an ongoing business relationship, accounting or legal reasons. Until then, enquiries are kept in our inbox, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- Newsletter: we keep your subscription while you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, emails stop, but Beehiiv keeps your record marked as unsubscribed so we don’t email you again by mistake. You can ask us to delete it completely.
- Google Analytics: event data is kept for two months. User-level data is retained for up to 14 months.
- Technical logs held by our hosting and monitoring providers are kept for a short time.
Your rights and how to make a request
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that is wrong,
- delete your information,
- stop or limit how we use it, or
- withdraw any consent you have given.
Email arditnaka@greendigest.co with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, for example by replying from the email address concerned. We will respond as soon as we can, and within the time required by law. We will delete information when you ask, unless we have a legal obligation or another legitimate reason to keep it, for example accounting records or an unresolved dispute; if so, we will tell you. Requests are handled separately from our routine reviews, so you don’t have to wait for one. For information Beehiiv uses for its own purposes, we will help you contact Beehiiv, or you can use the options in Beehiiv’s Privacy Policy.
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to Kosovo’s Information and Privacy Agency or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects your analytics choice, we will ask you again.
